Stress is a factor in a lot of problems in the body so why should your hair be any different? There are a number of people who don’t even realize the stress they put on themselves and their bodies. We are going to look at the different types of stressors. We will also look at a few things you can do to help maintain your stress levels. When dealing with stress and thinning hair the best path is to get rid of the stress so you can focus on getting your hair back to where you want it.

There are ten top stressors in ones life. We are going to look at the everyday life stressors that effect thinning hair. The best place to start is with your environmental stress. Environmental stress would include a barking dog all night causing little sleep. Another example of this type of stress would be as simple as uncomfortable living situations. The only real way to resolve this type of stress is to move. The Next type of everyday type of stressor is family/relationship stressors. These would include unruly children, fight with your spouse, or caring for a terminally ill relative. Depending on your individual situation will determine the best way to deal with those types of stressors. Work Stress is another daily type of stressors. Work stress can be caused by too many hours or not enough hours, not being happy with your job, or even not enough pay. If you feel this is to much stress looking for a new job may be an option for you. The last type of stress that we are going to cover that may cause thinning hair is social stress. Social stress would include things such as financial pressures, unemployment, or even lack of social support. This type of stress is best dealt with by each individual situation.

Next we need to look at how to handle stress in a healthy manner so it doesn’t build up causing thing such as thinning hair. There are many different ways to deal and avoid stress. One of the major ways to deal with to much stress is to actually avoid unnecessary stress. When your boss comes up to you and ask you if you could work another double shift because they are in a jam simply tell them you can’t right now. There is no need to add even more responsibility to your life if you are already over run. For some people it is hard to say no but there are times when it has to be done. Time management is another good way to relieve stress. One way to do this is when making your to do list divide it into a must do and should do section. Do the thing you must do and if you have the time then do the “should do” section if not there is always tomorrow to get that stuff done. Accepting that you can’t change everything and having someone to talk to about it also helps. Remember to make sure you have ten to fifteen minutes a day to relax and unwind will help to remind you to look on the bright side of life.
