Rachael Ray

Rachel was born in August, 1968 in Cape Cod. Her family owned a string of restaurants in that area, but they sold them all off and moved to New York when she was still young. Growing up around all of that food, and with all those culinary influences, her future job choices should have come as no shock to anyone in the Ray household.

Rachel stared selling candy and then moved to gourmet food manager at Macy’s. An Albany, New York restaurant asked her to come work for them and soon she was the chef and food buyer. While there, Rachel started hosting cooking classes for the neighborhood locals-classes that were so popular the local CBS affiliate asked her to do the same on the nightly news. Her first cookbook was published at that time and sold 10,000 copies.

The Food Network asked Rachel to become one of their on-air chefs and despite her own protests that she was not qualified, soon had her own show. Thirty Minute Meals was such a hit that soon Rachel had three other shows to host on the network as well as her own talk show. She has now written well over a dozen cookbooks, all of them best sellers.

Rachel has a nice middle length shag. The color changes only subtly from shade to shade, sticking in the medium brown range, sometimes with just a hint of red.
