Nicole Kidman

Nicole was born June 20, 1967. The statuesque beauty once missed out on a part in a production of Orphan Annie; she was taller than Daddy Warbucks. Graceful and self assured, Nicole has trained in ballet since she was three years old and started studying acting in a drama school when she was ten. She trained at the St. Martins Youth Theatre in Melbourne and at the Phillip Street Theatre in Sydney.  Her first professional role came in 1983 in a television movie called, “Bush Christmas”. Her American film debut came five years later with the thriller, “Dead Calm”

Days of Thunder” would follow in 1990 and she would wed her costar, Tom Cruise later that same year. She would costar with her husband twice more before the end of their marriage: in “Far and Away” in 1992 and in the controversial “Eyes Wide Shut”. The latter film did nothing for either actor’s career, even with the cloak of secrecy and the added press from the death of Stanley Kubrick just before the movie wrapped.

Nicole continued in a variety of roles, including comedies, “Practical Magic” (1998) and dramas, “Malice” (1993). She would wait until 2001 to earn nominations for awards.

Moulin Rouge” was nominated for an Oscar but did not win; Nicole did however earn a Golden Globe for her performance.  She did eventually win the coveted Best Actress Oscar for her role in “The Hours”.

Nicole’s hair has drifted through all the shades of red, from delicate near pink, strawberry to the brilliant flame red of  summer sunset. Equally, she has allowed it to be straight as a board to all out curl. The style, the color and the cut do not matter, coupled with her near perfect porcelain skin and brilliant blue eyes, her hair is always beautiful.
