Melyssa Ford

Melyssa was born November 7, 1980 in Toronto and started appearing in school plays at an early age. Melyssa is as brainy as she is beautiful, and originally had planned to work in the behavioral science unit for the Canadian Security Intelligence Services. She was working as a barmaid while majoring in psychology at York University in Toronto when she was discovered and soon was appearing in music videos for rap royalty like Jay-Z, Jadakiss, Ghostface Killah, Mystikal and Sisqo. She hosted an Internet based show called the Lifestyles of the Phat and Phabulous and then got a break in 2000 when she appeared in the two part opening of Showtime’s series, Soul Food.

One year after her big break, Melyssa was appearing on the cover of Black Men magazine’s swimsuit extra edition. She was featured in the Ebony Rider’s Calendar as well as on the cover in 2002. She also became a love/dating/sex advice columnist for Smooth magazine, receiving about fifty marriage proposals per issue.  She became the host of the BET series, How I’m Livin’ in 2004.

Melyssa has long ebony hair that falls in waves of glistening fullness. Pulled up, left down, there is no denying that her hair has a life of its own- it draws your attention in and drowns you in those waves.
