Julianne Moore

Born December 3, 1961, Julianne was attending Boston University when she decided to take a stab at acting. From 1985-1988 she was one of the most popular characters on the soap opera As the World Turns. This role earned her the Daytime Emmy Award in 1988.  Two years later she branched out into movies with “Tales From the Darkside: The Movie”. She appeared in several movies, some more commercially acceptable than others, including: “The Hand that Rocks the Cradle” The Gun in Betty Lou’s Handbag” and “The Fugitive”.

In 1995, a mere five years after her big screen debut, she joined Hugh Grant for the comedy “Nine Months”. Despite the presence of Grant and a small role by an over the top Robin Williams, that film did not do nearly as well as was initially expected.  Julianne found bigger success in “Jurassic Park: The Lost World” but found real recognition for her role in “Boogie Nights”. That film earned her both a Golden Globe and an Academy Award nomination. She stepped up her game in the remake of the movie “Psycho” and then filled the shoes of Jody Foster in “Hannibal”.

Julianne has mid length, bright red hair with a middle part. She has appeared in endorsements for hair dyes, probably because of that exquisite shade.
