Julia Roberts

Julia was destined to become an actress, it is in her blood. Her parents hosted acting/writing workshops and Julia  and brother Eric were always part of the club. Julia’s film debut came in the movie “Blood Red” which was completed in 1986 but not released for three years. In ‘88, she appeared in the made for cable drama “Satisfaction”. The following year saw Julia’s star potential finally taking off however. First it was the film, “Mystic Pizza”, a quirky, ensemble film that did not pull in huge numbers and then “Steel Magnolias” came along. Magnolias featured an ensemble cast and although Julia was not actually on screen for much of the film, it was her character that was the main focus .

In 1990 she appeared in “Flatliners” with then boyfriend Kiefer Sutherland. She also appeared in “Pretty Woman” with Richard Gere that same year. That movie may have been the stepping stone to her huge career.

In 1991, Roberts made news worldwide when she broke off her relationship with Kiefer Sutherland three days before their wedding. If that shocked people, then they were completely stunned when she married Lyle Lovett two years later. That surprise relationship lasted two years. Julia appeared in a wide range of films, both comedy and drama with mixed success. She reunited with her Pretty Woman costar, Richard Gere in “Runaway Bride” and then starred in the comedy, “My Best Friend’s Wedding”.

Julia became the highest paid actress after winning an Oscar for her role in “Erin Brockovich”. In 2001 she went on to “America’s Sweetheart” where she met and married Danny Moder after ending a four year relationship with Benjamin Bratt.

Ocean’s Eleven and Ocean’s Twelve featured Julia as the frustrated former wife of George Clooney’s smooth character. Julia also provided voice work for the animated film “Ant Bully” and “Charlotte’s Web”.

Julia has changed her hair to suit her roles, but favors a shoulder length cut that curls around her face. It is a stunning reddish gold color.
