Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez or J.Lo, was born July 24, 1969. Rising from rather humble professional beginnings she has catapulted herself to the top of the entertainment industry. In 2004, Fortune magazine included her on its list of wealthiest entertainers under the age of 40, estimated  her worth at that point to over $255 million. Not bad for the former Fly Girl on the Wayans brother’s sketch comedy show “In Living Color”.

Her first huge role was in 1997 when she signed on to play the title role in “Selena”, the film about the Tejano singer that had been murdered at the height of her career. In ‘98 she joined George Clooney onscreen in “Out of Sight”. She also provided voice work in the animated film “Antz”. The following year, Lopez released  her debut album, “On the 6”. That project went triple platinum and had five hit singles.

Jennifer continued to act as well as record, and in 2000 appeared in “The Cell” a suspense film. The following year she tried her hand at comedy with “The Wedding Planner”. Jennifer was very busy in 2002, she released an album, “This is Me” and a movie, “Enough”. The media focused more on her training process for the film than the film itself and it did not do well at the box office.

Her personal life was always media fodder, her many marriages always a favorite topic for the tabloids. Her relationship with Ben Affleck was no different, and the relationship ended up earning the name, “Bennifer”. The couple made a movie together in 2003 and its scathing reviews may have sped the demise of the affair up. In 2005, Lopez returned to the silver screen in “Monster-in-Law” with Jane Fonda. Never one to just sit back and relax, Lopez produced the reality show “DanceLife” in 2007 and gave birth to twins in 2008.

Jennifer Lopez is famous, not for her hair but for another of her physical attributes. She does have lovely hair that has changed dramatically from her days as a Fly Girl. Recent photos of the new mother show very soft, shoulder length hair with a caramel brown color and the slightest hint of golden brown highlights.
