Hilary Swank

Swank began acting when she was only 16 with bit parts in popular television shows. After a 1992 appearance in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Hilary was asked to star in “The Next Karate Kid”. Following that movie’s release and lukewarm reception, Swank appeared on Beverly Hills, 90210 for one year.

Hilary gained huge notice and critical acclaim in 1999 with the dramatic “Boys Don’t Cry”. Based on a true story and delivered with gut wrenching emotion by Swank, the role netted her both a Golden Globe and an Oscar that year.

Three years later, Hilary had to hold her own onscreen against none other than legendary actor, Al Pacino in the film “Insomnia” In 2004, Hilary turned in an Emmy and Golden Globe nominated performance in the HBO project, “Iron Jawed Angels”.

Hilary proved her dedication to her craft with her preparation for the movie “Million Dollar Baby”. Reportedly working out up to four and a half hours a day, six days a week, the actress packed on nearly twenty pounds of solid muscle to portray a boxer. All of that hard work paid off, as the film and crew walked away with an armload of Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Actress.

Not all of her films have fared as well, and the 2006 “Black Dahlia” proved to be a disaster. “Freedom Writers” did slightly better, as did “P.S. I Love You”.

Hilary has glossy brown hair that changes with her roles, but is always beautiful and healthy in appearance. She has most recently been seen with shoulder length hair, and straight blunt cut bangs.
