Farrah Fawcett

Farrah Fawcett was born February 2, 1947 and has told interviewers that she knew she was meant to be a model or actress, even from a young age. As a student of art at the University of Texas, Farrah realized that she would make more money with her looks than her talent. Soon she had landed a modeling job for Wella Balsam shampoo. In 1970, she had her film debut with “Myra Breckinridge”.

Her biggest role ever though was in 1976 when she was asked to become one of “Charlie’s Angels”. That series proved wildly popular, and Farrah soon had throngs of fans clamoring to buy anything with her famous visage on it. Her hair style may be one of the most copied to date.

Although she never did find another role that would prove as big as her “Angels” role, she did find minor success in the made for television genre with movies like “Small Sacrifices” and “The Burning Bed”. In 1986 she appeared in both the stage and film version of “Extremities”, her performance in both was well received.

Farrah remains a lovely woman, despite recent mental and physical health issues. Her hair is no longer the teased and feathered mane that it once was, but it is still golden blonde. The Farrah look of the late ’70’s inspired countless imitations, and nearly every girl across the nation was rushing to have their hair cut in layers so that they could feather it like their idol. Farrah’s hair is much softer now, with no hint of layers or feathers involved.
