| Amanda Bynes
Amanda Bynes has practically
grown up in front of the television cameras. The perky blonde
actress was born in Thousand Oaks, California on April,
3, 1986. At ten, she joined the ensemble cast of Nickelodeon’s
show, “All That”. Sticking with the ensemble
work, she was a panelist on the game show-like, Figure it
Out.”.
Bynes went on to host the Amanda Show,
also on Nickelodeon. The show was quite successful, and
won Amanda a Kid’s Choice Award. She also loaned her
voice to the long running animated series, “The Rugrats”.
Amanda went on to her film debut in the
film “Big Fat Liar” with Malcom in the Middle’s
Frankie Muniz. The movie did not do too badly at the box
office, and gave Bynes a chance to expand on some of her
best character aspects. In 2002, she returned to the
television opposite Beverly Hills 90210 alum, Jennie Garth
in the series, “What I Like About You”.
A day before her 17th birthday, Amanda
got the major lead in a film with “What a Girl Wants”.
Styling her character after other lovable clutzes, Bynes
stumbled and tripped her way through the film that saw better
box office numbers than it did reviews. But the critics
liked “What a Girl Wants better than Amanda’s
2006 attempt, “She’s the Man” which was
mercilessly panned. She managed to redeem herself in 2007
with “Hairspray”. Amanda designs clothing in
her spare time and has also done ads for milk, touting it
as the reason that she has grown into such a beautiful young
woman.
Bynes wears her hair in its natural sunny
blonde shade, with loose waves curling around her face much
of the time, but has been known to go for more adult hairstyles
for big events. She looked particularly lovely in a braided
crown with loose tendrils framing her oval face. The look
was sophisticated, but still young, and played up her wide
set, sparkling blue eyes.
