| Alicia Silverstone
Alicia Silverstone was born in
San Francisco, California on October 4, 1976. The pretty
blonde was drawn to acting almost from the very start, beginning
her career in a number of commercials from the age of 6.
She moved on to television, with a guest spot on the Wonder
Years in 1988. In 1993, Alicia was cast in a dark role in
the movie, The Crush as a teenage vixen obsessively attracted
to an older, married man. Although the movie did not fare
very well at the box office, Alicia was voted best villain
at the 1994 MTV Movie awards and also won Best Breakthrough
performance that same year.
Alicia was noticed by the rock band Aerosmith
and cast in several of their music videos. Her performance
for the song “Cryin’” made it one of the
all time most popular music videos in the history of MTV.
Alicia married Christopher Jarecki on June
11, 2005. The pair are dedicated vegans, and Alicia has
been an ardent supporter of PETA for much of her career.
Although she would never do nudity in any of her film roles,
Silverstone did appear naked for a PETA public service announcement.
She was voted Sexiest Female Vegetarian in 2004. Because
of her dedication to the rights of animals, she has reported
to be very selective about the hair care products that she
