Deepal was born and brought up in Mumbai. Her family hails from Uttar Pradesh. She started her career as a model and later shifted to singing. Her music album "Baby Doll" was a smash hit in 2004. Her music mostly comprises of remixes of bollywood songs with heavy bass and hip hop in nature.
