Crop Hairstyles and Short Looks for Women

If you are tired of maintaining your hair so it can stay out of the way for the day, but don’t want to lose out from a short hair cut that may not allow you to enjoy the latest trends, then you can find a new style with crop hairstyles.  This particular hair style has recently come into full swing for celebrities and women who are interested in a classy look that doesn’t get in the way.

Crop hairstyles came into full effect in the 1980s with the looks of Princess Diana.  This then led into a definition of styles which have created a short hair style for women that are considered one of the best and most popular in current hair trends.  A crop is first defined by the top layers of hair, which are layered and thicker.  The sides and back are then tapered off into shorter lengths for the complete look.

To crop this specific look the right way, are different ways in which the hair is layered so it accents the shape of the face correctly.  For instance, many of the looks will contain bangs in the front that are longer and that drop over the forehead.  Others will have a part to one side and may have a separate part in the back before the hair is moved to smaller lengths.  You can also look into shorter styles, with lengths of hair on the top that are no more than one to two inches, which allows your hair to fall naturally.

If you want texture in your hair, but don’t want to maintain the longer lengths, then crop hairstyles are the answer.  This specific style is continuing to re-cut it’s way into popular culture while redefining the looks that women can enjoy with short hair.  The crop look is one that takes away the work of hair, while giving definition and style.

  • A crop hairstyle is a sign of the past, with Audrey Hepburn in mind, it is a beautiful past that is centainly welcomed now. This style adds a sassy look for some and yet a very chick or sultry look for others. It has freedom and the wild look and can be very exciting. The crop is a winner!
