Asian hairstyles have such a diverse selection to choose from. First
I think we should look at the difference in the Asian hair type. Then
we are going to look at the history of the Asian hairstyles. Next
we would like to cover different products to help manage Asian hair.
Finally we are hoping to cover the beauty and fun in the different
types of hairstyles.
The difference in Asian hair that separates it from other hair
is the natural glossy look it has. The Asian hair is always black.
The other side of the Asian hair usually lacks texture. Asian hair
also usually lacks body. Asian hair is also known for their thickness.
For two hundred and fifty years women of the Asian culture pulled
their hair back into a bun fashion and used wax to hold it in place.
The women then used different types of décor in their hair
like flowers, ribbons, and hair sticks. Later women had a slightly
different style they would put a loop of hair on top and an almost
box looking hairstyle at the nape of the neck. Later in more modern
time the look was more simplified they would simple pull the hair
back and use two ribbons to secure it, one at the top of the hair
and the other at the lower section of the hair.
One of the most common problems we have seen with Asian hair is
its lack of body. Using a layered cut will help give your hair body.
You can also obtain body for you hair by using a softer and natural
perm solution. Try using a perm product designed to create a wavy
look to add body to your hair. Remember though with Asian hair it
is best not to use chemicals to close to the scalp. To help with
texture you may want to consider highlights. When dying your hair
it will add movement, texture, and sometimes depth to your hair.
Trying a leave in conditioner or an over night conditioner will
help you to better control your hair as well.
There are numerous hairstyles you can try such as adding colorful
braid throughout your hair. Recently Asian women have gone with
shorter hair to style. Layering and teasing the hair making it look
to have a lot of body. If you prefer to keep you long locks try
using heating curlers at the end of your hair and putting it in
a simple ponytail. The hot curlers will add enough of a curl at
the end to create a new look. When selecting a new style make sure
you are comfortable with how you feel about it. Don’t be afraid
to try new things and experiment with your hair to determine what
best suits you. Willing to experiment with your hair and different
products gives you more chances to find the right look you want.
Today is the time to decide what is best for you and not what
everyone else thinks. If you are comfortable with yourself then
be happy and try new things you never know when experimenting with
your hair will turn into a great new style.
